Warrior profession released this week, and the consensus is, melee combat looks AWESOME! Apparently, the warrior will technically be able to sneak more than 10 skills, due to combo skills like Sever Artery -> Gash -> Final Attack, which is the order I used them in Guild Wars anyway (with Galrath Slash before Final Attack occasionally). As soon as you use Sever Artery, it becomes Gash, and then Final Attack, then returns to Sever Artery. If you use another skill before finishing the combo, it resets to Sever Artery. The warrior will be able to use swords, axes, and hammers, like in GW, but also maces, greatswords, longbows, and rifles. I'm psyched about the new weapons, and the fact that you can come equipped with two sets of weapons, so I could go hammer then switch to sword/shield, or go mace/shield and switch to greatsword, etc... In addition, we heard good detail about traits, and that they will be gained starting at Level 15, and allow you to further customize your build, by allowing you to specialize in certain areas, similar to the GW1 attribute system. GW2's attribute system will be more like D&D (Strength, Intelligence, etc...) The new videos are a must see on www.guildwars2.com. Enjoy!
